REV. JAMES DONALD HREHA was born in Darby, Pennsylvania, a son of Donald W. and Geraldine M. (Woodland) Hreha. He received his early education at St. Pius X School and Devon Preparatory School, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Upon graduation he pursued a career in law enforcement as a Correctional Officer at the Chester County Prison. He returned to his studies for the priesthood for the Diocese of Wilmington at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, Overbrook, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed theological studies at St. Mary's Seminary, Baltimore, Maryland and was ordained on November 7, 1987, at St. Peter's Cathedral, Wilmington, Delaware, by Bishop Robert E. Mulvee. He was first assigned as associate pastor to St. Elizabeth Church, Wilmington, Delaware. In 1990 he was transferred to associate pastor of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Wilmington, Delaware. In 1992 he was appointed chaplain to the Delaware Correctional Center, Smyrna, Delaware, and in 1997 he was assigned as associate pastor to St. Peter the Apostle Church, New Castle, Delaware. In June 2000 he was assigned as Associate Pastor at St. Edmond's Parish in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware with special Pastoral Care of St. Jude Mission. On November 30, 2002 St. Jude Mission was dedicated as St. Jude The Apostle Parish by Bishop Michael A. Saltarelli and Rev. James Hreha was appointed the first pastor, where he serves at the present time.

PART -TIME ASSOCIATE PASTOR
REV. MARK J. CONNELLY, Ph.D was ordained to the priesthood on June 6, 1987. Formerly of the Society of Jesus, Father Connelly taught in graduate and undergraduate education programs at St. Joseph's University in Pennsylvania, Fairfield University in Connecticut, and Salisbury University. Father received a doctorate in Linguistics from Harvard University in 1994. A graduate of the Weston School of Theology in Cambridge, MA, Father Connelly's interests also include spiritual direction and adult education. Originally from Swarthmore, PA, Father Connelly resides in Lewes. When time permits, he enjoys reading, traveling, and learning more about personal computers.

KENNY J. HALL was born and attended school in Wilmington, Delaware. Immediately upon graduation Kenny began his career with General Motors and recently retired from GM after thirty years. He and his wife Beth have been married for 28 years and are blessed with two sons. The Halls moved from Wilmington to Lewes in 1996, however both Kenny and Beth spent much of their childhood in Sussex County. Kenny now manages a cleaning business which he owns with his wife. He also works as a driver for a local company. After attending Diaconal Training through Diocese of Wilmington in conjunction with St. Meinrad Archabbey and School of Theology; Kenny was ordained a Permanent Deacon through the Diocese of Wilmington on October 24, 2009. Along with his Diaconate duties, Kenny is a member of the Liturgy Committee and is the Altar Server Ministry Leader at St. Jude's. Deacon Kenny is current on a leave of absence.

DON LYDICK was born in Cass Lake, MN and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where he attended Calumet High School in Calumet, MI. He then went into the Air Force and spent 3 wonderful years near Istanbul, Turkey which enabled him to travel to various countries. He returned to McGuire AFB in NJ, where he met his wife Janet. Deacon Don and his wife Janet came to us from Manalapan, NJ in July, 1997. They were married on Oct. 7, 1961. They have three daughters, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Deacon Don officiated at his two oldest daughter's weddings, baptized all of his grandchildren, including his great grandchild and married his granddaughter and another one in 2011 and gave them all of their sacraments. In addition he also went to Southern France to officiate at the wedding of their cousin's daughter and also baptized their granddaughter. Deacon Don was ordained on May 12, 1982 in the Diocese of Trenton and held various positions, including Assistant Director of the Family Life Bureau and the committee that formulated the Annulment process in the Diocese. They were members of St. Gabriel's in Marlboro, NJ for 25 years where he taught a Confirmation class for over 20 years, directed a Folk Group with his daughters a guitar players, in addition to various other ministries. Deacon Don was assigned to St. Ann's Parish in Bethany Beach until his recent move to Cannery Village in Milton, DE, where he is now assigned to St. Jude's.

WILLIAM J. PYREK was born in Chicago, Illinois. He attended both St. Hyacinth and St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Elementary Schools and then graduated from Archbishop Joseph Weber Catholic High School in Chicago. He graduated from the School of Business Administration at Loyola University in June, 1968. After graduating from Loyola, he began a department store manager's training program with Montgomery Ward, married Carlotta Ann Silewicz on September 7, 1968 and then they both headed off to his eventual 20-year US Army career within the Military Intelligence branch. Bill retired as a Major from the U.S. Army in November 1988, after serving in Tactical/Strategic Intelligence and Data Processing Management positions in the United States, Vietnam and Germany. During the course of his military career, he and his wife were blessed with 4 children, 3 daughters and a son. While still on active duty, Bill began his deaconal training program within the Diocese of Arlington, Virginia, in September 1985, and he was ordained as a Permanent Deacon by Bishop John R. Keating on May 13, 1989. In conjunction with his deaconal studies, Bill also graduated from the Notre Dame Apostolic Catechetical Institute in Arlington, Virginia (now the graduate School of Christendom College) with a MA degree in Religious Studies. He was assigned to his home parish of St. Timothy's in Chantilly, Virginia. He worked for a government contractor and served as a Facility Security Officer, in support of the National Reconnaissance Office until he retired from that profession in July, 2007. He and Carlotta have relocated to Delaware and are living in Baywood. They have 4 grandchildren

ROBERT J. SPROUSE was born in Washington, DC. Robert attended Holy Comforter Elementary School and graduated from St. Anthony's High School in Washington, DC. He also took business courses at Ben Franklin University, also in Washington, DC. Robert worked for Safeway for 38 years while managing thirteen different stores. He lived in Annapolis for 30 years and served as a Eucharistic Minister and on the Parish Council at St. Andrew By the Bay Church. Robert retired from Safeway in March 2004 and moved to Rehoboth in August 2004 where he began his deaconal training program in January 2005 and was ordained a Permanent Deacon through the Diocese of Wilmington on October 24, 2009. Robert has been married to his wife, Kathleen, for 41 years. He has three sons and seven grandchildren.
