Eucharistic Adoration is the worship of Jesus Christ present in the Blessed Sacrament. At St. Jude The Apostle Church, the Eucharist is displayed in a special holder called a monstrance. People are welcome and encouraged to visit the Parish Chapel to pray to and adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Christ's great love for us was shown when he was crucified on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and give us eternal life. He loves us without limit, and offers Himself to us in the Holy Sacrament of the Eucharist. Can we not give Jesus a few minutes of love and adoration in return?
"In a world where there is so much noise, so much bewilderment, there is a need for silent adoration of Jesus concealed in the Host . . . It is a source of comfort and light, particularly to those who are suffering." Pope Benedict XVI
The Parish Chapel is open Monday 8 AM until Saturday, 6 AM. Consider stopping in for some quiet time with the Lord.
St. Jude The Apostle Parish is presently in the process of establishing Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration for which we will need to have persons assigned to specific hours of adoration around the clock. Please participate in this very important initiative - which will bring upon St. Jude's untold blessings - by calling the Parish Office at 302-644-7300 to sign up for an hour of adoration of Our Blessed Savior Jesus Christ, Who will now be exposed for constant adoration. Accordingly, a Eucharistic Adoration Committee has recently been formed with the following Mission: The purpose of the Eucharistic Adoration Committee is to promote the devotion of Eucharistic Adoration, to identify and implement the means to accomplish this, and to advance the goal of establishing Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at St. Jude The Apostle Church.
"Come to me, all you who are labor and are burden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11: 28
